Here’s a great (and simple) way for you to be involved in WBCL’s “Drive Thru Difference” Random Act of Kindness (RAK) outreach.
Download the appropriate flyer for your listening area and keep copies in your car. When you “feel the nudge,” simply tell the cashier at the drive-through window that you want to pay for the car behind you, and then ask them to pass on the flyer.
The sky’s the limit on the potential for the ripple effect of this effort. We hope to hear stories from you and your recipients submitted below. Use your imagination and practice RAK as the “hands and feet” of Jesus. Whether at the drive-thru or at an inside counter, we hope you’ll take advantage of this fun opportunity to touch someone’s life and make a difference! |

I finally decided to try the drive thru difference. As I did this the drive thru people were very nice and acted like they knew what I was doing. As they handed me my change back from paying for the person's order behind me they told me for some reason they had doubled the amount of chicken that they put in my orignal order and the girl that did this said, see you were nice and somehow we gave you something extra without even knowing it. I assumed they had heard of this because like I said they seemed to go along with the whole idea very well. I was nervous about doing this (isn't that funny... nervous about giving.) I hope it brought something good to the gentleman in the truck behind me. It made my day and I will do it again. I hope others try this especially now when there is a need out there.

Tell us your Drive Thru Difference story (briefly please). I had this happen to me about three weeks ago. I had just heard one of you talk about this that morning. I was given a business card size card with the name of a local church on it. I thought that was a neat way to promote the church also.
I was a little upset with this person because they were slow in moving up. The driver was obviously messing with something on the seat or billfold or somewhere. I was not in a hurry but it was still irritating me. I remember saying, "Lord why is he not paying attention to the line and move up?" Well, dah, God got me!!! I asked forgiveness and smiled and waved to the gentleman as he left. It really was a blessing at the time because I am struggling with finances right now. It was a message from God that He is in charge (even thought I fight him on it) of the money. I will be ok.
Have not passed it on yet, but will probably do so this week |

Was going through Mc Donald's this AM and got a breakkfast sandwich and iced tea.
The lady in front paid for my breakfast and left the note explaining what she had done.
I will now print several from your website and pass the blessing on, thanks. |

I was exiting a parking garage a few weeks ago and the person in front of me paid for my parking. Wow, what a blessing. |

I have a third person view story for you. I serve at Outback at Coventry. A couple of weeks ago, I had a woman eating alone in my section. One of the other servers told me that one of her customers wanted to buy my customer's meal. He said he didn't know who she was, he just wanted to brighten her day, and he didn't want her told until after he left. After he left, I was able to surprise my customer with this blessing. She couldn't understand why someone would do that without even knowing her. I told her about your "Drive Thru Difference" program and I thought it might be something like that. She said that he must have known she needed a little blessing today. I said, "Yes, but more importantly, God knew!" This kind act from that gentleman made even more of an impact on the other server. She isn't a Christian and she was shocked that someone would do this. So if I could say something to this gentleman, I would let him know that he not only blessed my customer's day, also his server's, and my day as well. Thank you! |

I work second shift – so on my way to work last Sunday I decided to try the “Drive thru Difference.” Prayed all the way that someone who could use the help would come behind me. It was a lady in an older car – heard her order Happy Meal – so must have had a child. Lady who took my money at McDonalds said she’d seen these papers. I felt so good as I went on to work.
Also – I exercise with a group of ladies several days a week in Hamilton. On Mondays after exercise we go to Baby Boomers (just a short walk up the street) and have toast and coffee and just visit for an hour. For several summers we have met a couple who tandem bike to Hamilton from Coldwater, MI. They stop at Boomers for a rest and breakfast. So we “exercise ladies” decided to do the “Dine in Difference” – we paid for their breakfast. We left before they got the bill – rather found out they didn’t owe one. One lady had to wait out front for her husband so was there when the bike couple came out. They thanked the “exercise ladies” for doing that.
It’s fun to try and figure different ways to help people in secret. I keep papers in my van – put some up at work and at church and passed a few out for others to try. |

I want to thank the guy in the white Monte Carlo that bought my lunch at the Burger King on Lima Rd yesterday. It was totally unexpected. He single handedly restored my faith in humanity. This man works at Pizza Hut. I saw it on his shirt. If anyone knows a guy that works at Pizza Hut and drives a late model, white Monte Carlo, you need to shake his hand and tell him he's a good guy. Thanks again. |

I was at the East side Kewpee in Lima waiting in line when I pulled up to the window to pay and the employee handed me my order and said, "Here is your order and this (as she handed me the flyer) and the gentleman in front of you paid for your order." I was shocked! I read the flyer and a huge smile came over my face. I was deeply touched and will be passing on the act of kindness. Thank you to the gentleman in front of me who paid for my order and taught me to "pass it on! |

Dec. 7 of last year my mother-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumor on a Friday evening. It was a very difficult and confussing time for every one. The following Monday my daughter returned to school and broke down half way through her day. After picking her up and talking with her. I still needed to grab a few things in town and her little sister was getting hungry. So, I decided I better make a quick trip through the Angola McDonald's. When I pulled up to pay, the young man explained the lady in front of me had just paid for my bill and to tell me Merry Christmas. It cost her less than $5.00, but to me it meant the world.
I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. God can use you where ever you are. |

I do this often but one day last year I had a man follow me to my destination because he had to know why I had paid for him when he didn't even know who I was. It truly made his day, and mine. |

I didn't know you were doing this...a couple of weeks ago, I was in the DT at McDonald's in Angola and saw that a former co-worker was in line behind me; I paid for mine and asked about hers and had the cash so I bought her breakfast too! I was still in line when I heard her hollar, "THANKS PAM"! I waved and hollared back, "You're welcome, Susan!" I was all warm and tingly the rest of the day! God is good! I love WBCL! |

WOW What a neat idea! This happened to us at the McDonals drive through in Hillsdale Michigan right before Easter. My husband was very hungry and we had not stopped at the ATM yet and we had $6 on us. I told him I had a coupon for a buy one get one free sandwich so we got that and a drink. We went to pay and the young person at the window told us the lady in the car ahead of us had paid for our order and to tell us Happy Easter. We were shocked to say the least! Hubby hopped out of the car and told her thank you and she said she just wanted to do that and hoped that sometime we could pass it along. It made our day and I think the young man at the window is probably still talking about it . God bless! |

Today I was going thru a drive thru restaurant and I heard that "still small voice" say, "pay for the vehicle behind you". I argued with the voice and came up with every excuse that I could think of (not enough money, didn't know the people, etc.). When I couldn't stand it any longer, I knocked on the window and asked the clerk how much the order was behind me. It was not very much money and I paid for their order. (At that point, I was embarassed for even arguing about it!) It was amazing how that very small act brought so much joy to me. The people behind me kept waving and saying, "thank you, thank you!" Moral of the story, "when you hear the still small voice - do what He asks and you will be blessed." |

Good Afternoon, my co-worker was at Starbucks today and in front of her was a WBCL van. The person in the van purchased her drink which was a surprise to her when she went to pay. She was having a really bad day so it brighten her day. I just wanted to say thanks for doing kind things for others and for the wonderful music you provide me and my family. I also had my best friend win baseball tickets this morning on the morning show. You are all making a difference every day in big and small ways. Thanks so much. God Blessings |
